Avikans Products pioneered in manufacturing elegant light fittings & fixtures in Sri Lanka to the designs demanded by eminent architects using the facilities in their factory in Ratmalana. The company is involved in producing decorative lighting fixtures for the last fifty four years using a mix of traditional hand crafting and modern technology. The company is capable of providing lighting solutions to fulfill the needs of customers with sophisticated architectural designs and is equipped with a team of right talent and expertise which was developed over the years. Top quality, on time delivery and the right price are the reflections of enthusiasm, commitment and dedication of the Avikans team.

Our Key strength has been our ability to undertake designs submitted to us by architects and designers and custom manufacture to their requirements. The Company has a proud history and experience of working with the world renowned architect, Mr. Geoffrey Bawa on many projects. We worked on some of the large hotel projects such as Kandalama, Triton, Blue Waters, Neptune and the Light House hotel.

Avikans History

The Company was established in 1964 under the visionary leadership of the founder, Mr. Albert Victor Kannangara and was named ‘AVIKANS PRODUCTS’. Having been one of the pioneer manufacturers of decorative lighting fittings in Sri Lanka with over 50 years of experience. These years of knowledge affords us the ability to provide reliable customer service. We have keenly obliged renowned architects to develop fittings and fixtures over many years. AVIKANS is proud to have worked very closely with the world renowned architect Mr. Geoffery Bawa on many of his famous projects.

Our Team

Nishan Gunawardhana
CEO - BBus(IT) UWS Aus

Nishan has the experience of working in the field of Business Management and the use of Technology for over 15 years whilst living in Australia and South Africa. Nishan joined Avikans in 2007 and since then has been playing a key role in areas of R&D, Technology, Manufacturing and Operations. Nishan is also an Executive member of the Sri Lanka Chamber of Small & Medium Industries (SLSMI).

Charuni Kannangara
Director

Avikans was founded by the paternal grandfather of Charuni and was succeeded by her parents. Presently, the company is in its third generation where Charuni plays a lead in driving the Sales, Marketing and Finance Teams. Charuni is also the Secretary General of the Sri Lanka Chamber of Small & Medium Industries (SLCSMI).
